all of a sudden i can not go to sites i visited everyday. all i get is a
white screen. its like its being blocked but its not. can anyone help i am
running windows xp pro,

If you didn't make any system changes, scan the system for malware ASAP.
 
ive done that. got rid of everything and still cant access certain sites.
photobucket and fatwallet and sites i used to visit all the time.
 
Just check if this file has recently changed by checking the date/time
on the file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

If it has, then open it in Notepad and see if there is any entry
relating to your sites. These can be deleted.
