all my files are infected by acrobat

somhow acrobat program ha taken over my computer i`m locked out of all my programs,if i click to engadge a program a acrobat program opens-the same one all the time-and thats as far as i can go.when i close the acrobat program it goes back to the begining screan help
 
Check your machine for nefarious programs (virus, worms, spy-bot, etc.)
Seems as if file assocaites for many (all?) programs has been changed
to Adobe Acrobat (or is it Reader?). No Adobe progam will do this.
Something or someone has done this. Find out what/who. Read in "help"
about "file association" to understand the concept of file associations
(where Windows will launch a specified executable based on the file
extension on the file).

Try Doug's link below, XP-FIXES, and click on " Restore Default File
Associations Easily"...
