All icons show up as Word or Excel docs

All of a sudden my icons have turned into Word or Excel document icons.
What gives?

Are you referring to the shortcuts on the desktop?

Try downloading the "LNK (Shortcut) File Association Fix (Restores Default
Shortcut Behavior)" from here

Thanks, I'll give it a try. But, any idea why this happens? Only thing
that has changed is that Trend OfficeScan client was installed on the
machine.
