All drawing objects have defaulted to 3-D

I am using Excel 2000. I used the drawing tools to draw an oval, and used
3-D feature to make it a cylinder. Now, every object I draw is 3-D and i
have to manually remove the 3-D effect. How to I reset to the previous 2-d
default ?

Draw an object and manually change it to 2-D. Then, use the Draw Menu. There should be a command there called something like, "Set Object Default Properties." Click that. All your objects from that point on should have the same formatting characteristcs as the object you have selected on your screen
