Win XP, twice now my keyboard locks up to all caps and upper case in numbers
and the mouse click highlights everthing in site. In other words, both are
inoperable. Reboot does not help if fact this problem appeared after a
reboot. Three times now in the last month of daily reboots. I remove the
batteries and this resets it. Why should I have to remove the batteries for
a fix and I refuse to for the rest of my life. Can't be the keyboard as
this is the second set of wireless keyboards and mouses. Any ideas to throw
around.

Either fight with the manufacture or settle for a non-wireless keyboard.
Just a note: I have three systems out of five here that came with wireless
keyboard and use none of them.

Kelly,
Good morning to you. If nothing sounds familiar to you, then it isn't so.
Yes I am in contact with the manufacture as well. I have a wire problem with
the new configuration in my den and thought wireless to solve that problem.
You are right, I may have to get some extension cords of great length for
these 2 items. Besides, the scroll in these wirless configs is not the same
smooth scrolling I'm used to.
So back to wires and rerouting.
Thanks
BA

'Morning, back. :o)

Ouch on the wiring? That said, what type of issues are you having via your
den? Here, I became tired of first, banging the keyboards (which worked),
changing the batteries, way too often and then having to reset via the
monitor, etc. Too much trouble for me.

Not on topic, but added info, my router wasn't going through our brick
fireplace(s). Reason for mention, my teen boys complain about their
wireless connections for the two X-Boxes......they lag. Have the cable
company coming Friday to install direct lines. :o(

No gaming here as our boys are gone, just a young aged grandfather computer
user whose wife thought she would be helpful and came up with this idea of
re-arrangeing the den this winter.
So extension cords it will be to fix this minor problem of going wireless
keybd & mouse that has lasted all this year. Down in defeat and doing what I
should of done first instead of being neat with wireless components.
Wish I could get cable, dsl, broadband, Quest, somethng but farm country is
better.
I remember when the Mullenbergs where the first on our block to have Color
TV and antennas where not needed. Soap box dismount here and good morning to
you.

Kelly, have you ever come across a wireless keyboard that encrypts the signal
between keyboard and 'puter.
