How do I center text on a mailing label - I know that this must be a simple
task - and I am producing invitation labels for a friend

Thanks

Robyn

Center horizontally just as you do any other text, with Ctrl+E or the Center
toolbar button. Labels are by default centered vertically in versions of
Word that support vertical centering in tables (and if they're not, use the
Vertical alignment command for table cells). Mail merge labels often have
extra empty paragraphs, and you'll need to get rid of those for the
centering to work right (display nonprinting characters so you can see what
you're dealing with). In versions before Word 97, you'll need to vertically
center manually using Space Before.
