My Firewall intercepts a file trying to access the
internet everytime I bootup my machine.
The name of the file is 'alg.exe' and appears to be in
both my Windows\system32 and
Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 directories. I believe it
came from Microsoft as part of
an up-date for my XP Home Edition. Why does it do this
and is it an important file? How do
I stop it if I'm not going online?

Kindest Regards,
Mario
