alexa seen as adware by web root spy sweeper

my windows xp professional has been running slower and slower. i have my internet fire wall activated, the panda titanium2004 anti-virus running, and the web root spy sweeper running. each time i do a sweep with web root, it shows adware present-alexa browser, so i quarantine it and then my computer almost stops running. it is so slow, and can hardly move from one area to the next. at any rate, the browser reinstalls it self because the next time i run web root, the alexa is back. every time. what is going on and why does the computer slow down after i quarantine this item? my internet speed used to be so fast, i was amazed but not anymore. any suggestions? thanks much. you people at the help center are great.
 
Don't blame Alexa; I'm running it and it has no effect on system speed. Go
