Not at all. You can use up to MMC 9.02 - versions above that are only
recommended for 9xxx+ cards. If you do decide to upgrade your MMC
installation, however, you would also be recommended to upgrade your
Catalyst drivers to a comtempory level.
However, for versions of MMC above 7.7.0.1, you'll need a Catalyst
software disk to validate the DVD Decoder if you want to run that;
they're not hard to get, though. The rest of the MMC suite can be
downloaded for free.
