Hello, I need to format again I think, because as usual
windows develops a bad case of being ABSOLUTELY JUNK
after a few months. This is a known fact, and MANY people
get this problem. My problem is that I cannot back up my
stuff at the moment, which obviously hampers formatting
my drive.

I need to format, as i mentioned before, because Windows
is bad in causing random keyboard and mouse freezes
(funny huh! whats worse is that the devices are MADE by
Microsoft lol haha). Added to that, I dialup to the
internet, and try and write here to tell you about these
problems, and YOUR OWN SP2 popup blocker kills YOUR OWN
PAGE hahahahahahahahaha.

Well, is there any way I can destroy Window's bad habits
with the keyboard and mouse? Or am I to move to Linux,
which is coded MUCH better than Microshaft could ever
hope to do.

I built my computer over two years ago. So far, it has been
stable and has not required reformatting. This is an
improvement over the older HP 6465 (433 Celeron) bought last
Century. It does seem to get very unstable and starts the
BSOD, some times as often as 4-5 times a day. The XP
machine is running NTFS and has never had a BSOD.

Your problem sounds like a virus or two have infected your
system. Popup blockers can be turned off. But a popup
blocker will not kill the webpage you're watching.

But, if you think that Linux will be easier to use, bye.

The 'known' fact is that some people have no idea what they are doing,
expect everything that they do to be 'auto corrected', and then come into
one of these newsgroups complaining that MS Windows is the problem..

Re. backups, the time to save data is BEFORE user induced problems strike..

If you use Outlook Express as a newsgroup reader, you will not have a
problem with blocked pop ups.. you will not have to click at the top of the
page to temporarily unblock them..

Linux is coded MUCH better?.. do you really think the threat to move to a
competing operating system will move anybody here to feel sorry for you..
you don't have a hope in hell of setting up and using Linux with your
attitude and general ability..

Of course, you could always come in and ask nicely for help.. here is some..
assuming that you have a firewall and anti-virus updated and running
already..

Stinger is a one shot virus removal tool, and can be found here..
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ ..

SPYBOT 1.3 is an adware and scumware removal program and can be found here..
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

AdawareSE 1.05 is also an adware and scumware program, and can be found
here.. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Omega Killer will remove some search engines regarded as pests..
http://www.short-media.com/review.php?r=252

You might want to remove temporary internet files.. open IE, go to TOOLS -
INTERNET OPTIONS and look for the button to do this..

Also, right click on My Computer, select PROPERTIES, and use the DEFRAG and
ERROR CHECKING utilities..

These should keep you busy for a while, and may even save you having to lose
all of your data doing a destructive re-install..

Good luck..

If your keyboard & mouse freeze it isn't a problem with those items bu
you have a problem with the hardware to which they're attached.
What problem are you having with backing up? - hardware or software? A
far as the system crashing have you checked (primary culprit) the powe
supply and any cooling you may or may not have.
If it happens every few months then it's something fundamental to th
system.
We run a number of Windows PCs, all with XP & SP2 - some of them are o
24/7 & we have no problems at all - we just know they're made up o
decent quality hardware & all software is kept up to date & clean.
Post some more precise details of the problems you're having an
someone may be able to help.

If you can't handle Windows, you will "never" be able to cope with Linux!

The 'known' fact is that your first sentence didnt really make sense, which
is caused (in my opinion) by your rudeness and stupidity in jumping to
conclusions. Good answer mate, thanks!

As if i didnt know to virus scan and things like that, and windows DOES
corrupt itself after a while anyway, after you've used it and added programs
after a while.

" Re. backups, the time to save data is BEFORE user induced problems strike.."

User induced problems huh? Are you suggesting you should carefully select
programs to run in case they induce problems, or are you abusing me again? If
the first is correct, well why in hell would people run this OS? Whatever!

Concluding remarks....NO I'm not a 'N00B', NO i dont have any viruses, NO
there were no errors after running scandisk, HDD IS DEFRAGGED EVERY MONTH, I
CANT AFFORD A DVD BURNER ATM TO BACK UP DATA.

So to hell with you mate!

Remember this, mate.. my computers have run almost flawlessly for years, and
yours doesn't.. computers are infallible, and it has been a 'known fact'
that user input is the wild card in screwing them up..

I was not being rude.. I was being truthful.. your post was full of
incorrect assertions, and the little threat to go over to Linux?.. well be
my guest.. I even offered links that may help you, but forgot that you are
an expert, hence your need to re-format again "... because as usual windows
develops a bad case of being ABSOLUTELY JUNK after a few months. This is a
known fact, and MANY people get this problem."

Even people who do know a great deal learn something new each day.. that you
see yourself as above that is to your detriment.. your concluding remarks
leave questions too.. you may not have a virus, but you may have a trojan..
scandisk is not part of XP.. and you don't need to afford a DVD burner to be
able to back up important files..

I wish you well in your transition to Linux.. :)

Hi....well well well isn't people getting a bit shirty.

Chill Out for gods sake !!!!

I find my computer to be INCREDIBLY slow. FREEZES are part of everyday

Someguy needs to chill out ..... take a chill pill mate....

Computers are made to break.....either by themselves or by us !!!

Happy computing......who's linux ?
