For the current video cards, nothing much. The next generation cards
will be designed for PCI-E and will transfer data faster than AGPx8. If a
lot of people are still on AGP, they will probably produce an AGP version,
but it will be a bit slower than the PCI-E version. The next batch will be
PCI-E only, because the difference will be too great. You can still buy a
Geforce FX5200 in PCI, but not any more powerful card because the PCI bus
would limit the performance too much.

Guaranteed future upgradability. The AGP bus will go the way of the do do
bird in the near future. Newer graphics cards will be based on PCI-e for
sometime to come. So, if you think you'll ever upgrade to a newer graphics
card, PCI-e is your choice.
