When I installed Windows XP Media Edition 2005 and All Windows XP operating
systems, the display was automatically adjusted to fit the veiwing area of
the CRT monitor. No more fooling around with the buttons on the CRT to adjust
things. This war great. Some thing happened and the automatic adjustment
stopped. I can not get it back. I ave uninstalled the vedio adaptor and also
reinstalled Windows XP Media Edition 2005 to no avail. Can anyone tell how to
reload this feature.

What resolution are you using? Right click an empty area on the desktop and
then click the Properties menu item and then click the Settings tab. What
do you see?

800 by 600

If correct video adapter driver is installed, then go to display
properties and set the refresh rate to "Optimal"

Great answer. Dumb question. Would you find the optimal in the onwers manual
of the monitor or is there somewhere eles. I reset the refresh rate by trail
and error. I solved 99.9% one corner is slighty off.

Thank for all your help

Sorry, "optimal" seems to be adapter driver related and may not show up
as a choice. So, you did the correct thing setting it to the one that
worked best for you. Cheers!

Thanks
