After update, some problems

I had a message on my bar at the bottom of the screen
that I needed to update Microsoft. So, I did. Now,
everytime I shut down and boot back up, I have to type in
my password. Sometimes my home page comes up, sometimes
not. So, I change home page and it sometimes comes up
sometimes not. My RealOne Player quit after the update.
Any help? Thanks
 
Use your system restore to go back before the update. If you wish you might
try updating again to see if there was some corruption which occured during
the update process.
