After update-IE will not open any sites.

After I updated reccommended updates for win XP I have not been able to access any web sites. Email works fine and I have Windows XP Firewall disabled. If I go to the user 'administrator IE works (main user also has administrator privleges). Any ideas for how to fix this problem
 
Disabling the winxp firewall is not a good idea, unless you have a third
party firewall installed.
If you dont have a third party firewall I trust you have a current AV app
and have scanned yr sys

I believe yr saying you can connect/access IE when using Administrator
account but not when using other logins?. Check IE Tools/Options whilst in
one of these accounts and try enabling defaults. I'm assuming you've checked
through NIS to ensure it isn't blocking these connections?
