Hi everyone, been working on brothers computer, finally got back in after
updating the bios. Now the CPU speed is not reading correctly in the bios
screen, should be 533 mhz and it's only reading 333, anyone had this happen ?

Another ? brother and his wife want to be able to open attachments in
Outlook Express, I had the option on to prevent attachments from opening.
Anyway to only open wanted attachments, with a rule or something ?
Thanks for any info.

CPU speed happens to me all the time after a BIOS update. Basically my
whole BIOS is reset to factory default after an upgrade. You will need to
go into the BIOS and check the FSB setting.

Darren

Hi Darren,
Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated. I am back in the bios on that
computer, I don't see a FSB setting, where do I find that ? Thanks again.

BIOS settings tend to vary (menu names used) so I could not give you exact
directions to the actual location. However, as your PC runs a slower CPU,
there may (or may not!!) be an option that allows you to change the CPU
speed/type. If you cannot find this I would strongly suggest that you go to
the mainboard manufacturer's website and look for details regards the board
itself, in particular the BIOS settings.

I am sorry that I cannot be of greater help :o(

Regards
Daz
