I upgraded my MoBo (and almost everything else).
I tried to "repair" my WinXP Pro install and it wouldn't
boot from HDD. BIOS says "press any key to boot from
CD". If I don't it does nothing.
MS Support suggested reinstalling over old installation.
I did so. Same thing. Upon completion of Setup and the
reboot phase, BIOS says "press any key to boot from CD".
If I don't it does nothing.
What's next? Format the HDD and try again? I'd rather
keep my data, but it's moot if the HDD won't boot the
system.
