After installing SP2, Norton Antivirus don't work

After installing SP2, my Norton Antivirus 2004 don't work, it does not
start in auto upon power up and the auto protection cannot be started at
all even by manual !
I am running WIndowsXP Professional on a HP notebook, is there any way
to solve the problem ?

Uninstall NAV 2004.
Reinstall NAV 2004.
