After installing SP2 I cannot access my ISP>

I have installed using CD and download from Microsoft. After disabling
Nortons I install new Sp2 and on both occasions I could not access the
Internet thru my ISP.

Check your network, firewall setting!!!

Check your System Event log for the following Event ID message:
Error 7003 DHCP service failed to start because dependency service SYMTDI will not start.

DHCP Client Initializes Improperly and Causes an Invalid IP Address

Unninstall Norton compleetely from the computer - Restart - Install sp2 from
the CD - Restart - Reinstall Norton
If that does not work :-
Go to Network Connections in control panel > Right click on LAN > Properties

Advanced > Click on settings on the firewall and add your ISP to the

firewall exceptions list.
