After Install, from 98 to XP Home, what can be deleted?

I have had XP Home on my system for a while now. When I went to install, I had to copy the install files from the CD (per Windows instructions off the website) to get it to install.

What I can't find now, is what can I delete from the HD now that the installation has been completed and the program is running fine.

Under the Windows directory I have several files named $NtUinstallKB824###

I have searched the Knowledge Base and cannot find out what these files are.

Thanks in advance.

these files are the result of Windows Update applying the various
(hot)fixes.
You *can* delete them if you like, but then you cannot easily uninstall a
particular fix should the need arise.
You never know, maybe one of them creates a problem in *your* particular
setup.
