I was doing updates on an NT4.0 server that is running
IE6. I was doing the autoupdates form teh web. I do not
remember which one I finished and rebooted the machine.
Everyhting works except the IE6. NO PAGES whatsoever are
opened and no error messages. No matter how long I leave
it sit. What is the easiest way to role back or
uninstall/reinstall IE6? IE6 was added on top of IE5.0
or IE5.5.

I've had the same thing happen on several NT workstations.
I've gotten lots of suggestions but nothing that solves
the problem - see the other postings. Anyways the easiest
away to revert to the previous vesion of IE is go to
Control Panel > add/remove programs > and then add/remove
on Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Tools. It will then
bring up the option screen to Repair or "Restore the
previous Windows configuration. I tried the repair which
did not fix IE but the restore option did take me back to
IE 4 which did work. However you need IE 6 (or 5) to do
Windows Updates so I'm still looking for a fix...
