After Dark and XP

I posted this a while ago, but didn't see any responces so I thought I'd try
again. I love AfterDark, and still use it with XP. It works but only the
AD4.0 modules will work. None of the other modules work including the
classic modules. Is there some trick to get these to work with XP? When I
try to run one of them, I get "Unable to load selected module".
 
After Dark is old software, and may not be compatible with Windows XP. Have
you tried running the software in XP's compatibility mode?

I have tried it in compatibility mode. After Dark itself works just fine.
The problem is with some of the older modules. I'm not sure how AD loads
modules to start with, nor am I sure what the difference is between the
different modules. I tried renaming one that won't run to the name of one
that will, and it still didn't work, so I don't think it is a directory/path
issue. Unfortunately, AD is quite old and there is little technical
information available for it. I had to run it's installer in Win98
compatibiilty mode to get it to run, and that worked find. I'm still playing
with it, but I'm not quite sure what to try next :(
