affects of deleting a user account

If you've installed all the software on a computer
through a particular user account with Admin rights and
subsequently remove that account, will the software
installed under that account be compromised in any way
for othe user accounts that use this software?

I've gone ahead and attempted to delete the account but
am getting the following error message.

"could not complete the operation due to error 80070402"

I wonder if anyone knows what might be causing this?
