Does anyone have a clue about this one. The girlfriends laptop only
seems to recognise the keys a,e,i,o,u and some command keys. I've had a
look and cannot spot anything. I've tried a spare keyboard but it's just
the same?

Would welcome any suggestions that might fix this.

TIA

A very strange one - especially with you also trying an external keyboard
(which was the logical thing to do). Only vowels and command keys eh? Hmm...
very weird.

Either a wind-up or quite a unique techie problem...

What happens if you reboot to Safe Mode (F8 during reboot)? Same problem?

Do you have any language toolbar installed?

Has a glass of wine/water/beer - or cup of coffee/tea - etc, been spilt over
the laptop recently?

Those kiddie keyboards aren't really suitable for 'big boys and girls'
computing.
