When I ran my last norton virus scan yesterday it came up
with the Adware.Quadro threat. I tried to delete it and
it will not delete, so I followed the instructions that
sympantec gave me about running another scan and going to
the registry and deleting the file in the registry and I
did that and it worked however the problem is the file
called "emsw.exe" is still in the c:\windows\emsw
directory so therefore everytime I run another system
scan it detects it as a threat. I tried renaming it, I
tried deleting it but it says access denied. Help, I am
at wits end. Any help anyone can give would be greatly
appreciated.

Karen
try logging on in safe mode and see if you can delete it.
Safemode is accessible during boot by pressing f8.
