Is there a difference between Adobe Reader and Adobe
Acrobat? Adobe Reader 5.0 came with my computer. Which is
better? What is the difference between the two?

As the name already says: Adobe Reader reads PDFs files.
Acrobat reads, writes and modifies PDFs files.

Adobe Reader is simply the program that can display PDF files. Adobe Acrobat
is used to CREATE PDF files as well as display them.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free application allowing you to read and save PDF
(etc.) documents.

Adobe Acrobat isn't free and allows you to edit/change PDF documents...and
much more.

For best reliability and performance, you should upgrade to Acrobat Reader
6.
