Adobe Reader download problems

While downloading Adobe Acrobat 8.0 with Windows XP I got an Error Message "
Error 1714 The olderversion of Adobe Reader 8 cannot be removed, contact your
Technical Support Croup" I tried everything from Adobe Tech Note with no
luck.

Hello,

There is a tool called Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301). This will probably allow you to
remove the old version manually.
