An alternative to Adobe is Foxit.

I wondered about that myself. I've seen software in the past that skips
interim version numbers. Maybe 7.0.6 wasn't "Up-to-Snuff", so they
just bumped it up to 7.0.7. I would prefer that Adobe cut out this new
"Oh Yeah, & while your getting what you want - How about letting us
S N E A K in ________"

Adobe released a pair of consecutive point fixes of 5.0 that were identical.
