I sent an Adobe PDF file as an attachment. The receipt can open the PDF file
but part of the file is missing. Example: I send a map, most of the linework
is there but there's some linework missing along with text. When I check my
sent folder for the original email and open the PDD everything is there. What
could be the problem? It just this one user. Other open the file fine.

Thank you.

Is he/she running the same Adobe Reader version as you? Does this happen as
well when he/she saves the attachment to disk first?

Are you using Adobe Acrobat to view your PDF files but the recipient is
using Adobe Reader? What happens when you open the .pdf file using Adobe
Reader (instead of Adobe Acrobat)? What version of Adobe Reader is the
recipient using? Are they saving the attachment to a file and then opening
it, or are they trying to open the attachment from e-mail message?

No problem on my end opening up the PDF file in either Adobe Reader 6 or
Adobe Acrobat 6. Incidentally, I created the PDF file. The other user is
using Adobe Reader 7.

Opening the file from email or saving to the harddrive first has the same
result.

Using what? Acrobat? Or some other product? If not Acrobat, could be that
other software is creating a bad PDF file.

Can anyone else open your PDF file? You mentioned it was just one user, but
have you sent to any other users?
The other user is using Adobe Reader 7.

Have they tried uninstalling an reinstalling? If that doesn't work, and if
you are using Acrobat and not some 3rd party product, maybe they should try
installing version 6.
