How can I make my documents the default for photos. When I installed ELEMENTS it became the default. If I want to see a photo in a my documents fodler it opens in ELEMENTS. How can I change it?

you have 2 different statements here....my doc is a FOLDER....PS Elements is
an Application....

Kinda depends on what program you want to make be the default. Some, like
IrfanView, have an option in the Tools or Properties where you can select
the image types you want that program to handle automatically - it will take
care of making the changes to your system.
If that's not available, find one of the image files you want to change,
right click on it, select Properties Next to the Opens With (program name),
press the Change button. Scroll down till you find the program you want to
use, or click the Browse button to hunt for a program not shown in the
scroll window.

Hi rubyjack,
If you want your pictures to be opened by the default windows program
'Windows Fax and viewer.' Go to Start > run and copy and paste the
following line in the window that appears:
rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1
This is provided C is the drive where Windows XP is installed, if not,
change for the corresponding letter.
