I am the sole user of this comp, yet in My Documents I have to look at all
three of the above subject folders. Any way to only have My docs &
settings?

Why do you "have" to look at all three folders? What for?

How are you "looking" (i.e. accessing) these folders - through
Explorer, desktop icon, My Computer ... which?

They are all 3 different and necessary in Windows XP.
For documents you create as "David", the "My Documents" in David should be
all you need to look in to see your documents.
If something is in "All Users" anything in that folder goes into all users
"My Documents" folder.
The Administrator is the default Administrator and also should not be
deleted.

The issue of why anyone would want to do something, no matter how silly it
may sound to others, suggests they do want to do it for some reason.
Getting that reason on the discussion table would seem to me anyway to be
another matter entirely, one which in fact ignores the original question.

I don't HAVE to open, i.e. look into the contents, of any except David,
which I can and do simply by opening My Documents.. When I do occasionally
open Documents and Settings, there they are - all three -redundant,
duplicitous, memory gobbling and unnecessary, that's all.

Thanks Jupiter for the straight answer, and thanks everybody, we do
appreciate the help

Dave, a bit ANSI but happy
