Administrator problems

We recently had a virus on our computer which resulted in the whole har
drive being wiped clean and since then my dad has gone insane wit
computer security. My profile is now set at user, as is my brother'
and my mum's and my dad is set at administrator. This is the bigges
pain in the ass because I can't even use half of the programs that
need for uni work and such and I can't download any programs. Not eve
msn messenger. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can set my profil
to administrator without having to actually be the administrator in th
first place. There's not even really much point in using the compute
with my profile set as 'user' because pretty much all I can do is chec
email
