I had this problem with many of the 2004 EA games and
with halo.
I spent several hours on line with Microsoft and EA games
to no avail. I ended up reformatting the hard drive and
reinstalling windows xp. The administrative privilages
problem was now gone. I also had the same problem on my
laptop for these games and, the above solution worked.

trying to run URU, and even MS Halo, on our new Dell with
Windows XP. I am the Administrator and there are
no "limited" user accounts. I've seen suggestions, but
haven't seen any solution that actually worked. Has
anyone actually solved this problem on their own PC? Is
there a patch or update to correct the registry error or
whatever the heck the problem is with XP? I'd like to
see a report from someone who has had the problem and
fixed it. Thanks much for any help.
