Administrator Password in XP

Haven't had to worry about this before, but I'm in a position now where the previous Manager had set an administrator password on a Notebook computer in XP then established a limited account for everyone to use. The previous Manager has left the organization and is not available to contact and did not leave a complete list of Admin passwords. Is there anyway besides reinstalling XP to reset that Administrator password? (I've already ran through the list of recent/known passwords that they used.)

go out to the web and look for an Xp cracking tool. I
have a Unix based disk that works quite well

Had he just assigned his userID with administrator
privileges or is this the built in Administrator account.

You can access the built in administrator account by
booting the system up in 'safe' mode.

You can try booting to Safe Mode and logging in as Administrator with a
blank password.
