administrator errors upgrading from windows 2000

Toni

Can not upgrade from Windows 2000 to XP Pro. Even though
we are signed on under Administrator we receive the
message that you need administrator rights to install the
program. The upgrade from NT 4.0 works with no errors.
Any ideas????

make sure that your domain administrators group is a part of the administrators group on the local machine.
 
I checked and it is.
I went to the user icon account in the control panel of
my PC and went to the advance tab and clicked on groups
for local machine and the adminstrator is there.
