Greetings:
To make your profile folder private and keep your kids out, in folder
properties\sharing tab, check on Make this folder private.
To remove program shortcuts (those you have allready installed) from users
desktops... go to All Users\desktop\"cut" program shortcut and paste in your
profile's desktop... Also go to all users\start menu\programs, "cut"
shortcut and paste in your profile's start menu programs folder.. be aware
that you should "cut"... not delete..
Create a folder inside your private folder and name it "My Programs" and
from now on when you install programs for yourself, as the installer asks to
confirm installation on the default folder (C:\Programs Folder), click on
the browse button and select the My Programs folder as the installing
location.. also install the shortcuts in your start menu folder, if this
option is not available during installation, move the shortcuts as described
in the last paragraph.
