There were two administrator accounts on my machine. I tried changing one to
a limited account and accidentally deleted the administrator account. Now
there is one limited access account on my computer(Windows XP Home Edition).

I am unable to create a new user or make any changes as the 'PICK A TASK'
Menu is missing in the USER ACCOUNT section.

I do get a Welcome Login screen with a name. I can login without using any
password.

My problem is that i now do not have administrator privileges on the machine .

Please help.

Hi

It is not possible to delete the builtin "Administrator" user account,
so you can log on with that user.

Boot into Safe Mode (tap F8 repeatedly early in the computer/Windows
startup process)

If no user logon appears in Safe Mode where you can type in the
user account name "Administrator" (or click on it), press
Ctrl+Alt+Del twice.

Hi,

It worked!

Thank you.
