I've been trying to publish a web I have on my hard drive to my hard drive
and resolving a host of issues along the way. The current problem is the
following message I am getting when I run Server Extension Administrator. By
right clicking on the /LM/W3SVC/1: and selecting the "all task - check server
extension" I get the following error:

The server administration program and the server extension on the web server
are not compatible. The administration program is too old to use with this
server.

I had this error and in reseaching I found there was an update to the MMC
2.0 I was using to 3.0. I've installed the new MMC (with required regkey for
XP Pro) and still get the error.

After clicking on the only button (OK) on the Check Web popup window appears
and displays:

Check Web
HTTP://
No problems found
End check 3/22/2006 11:49:51 PM

I haven't found an update to the FP (2000) Server Extension administration
program. The version of extension installed is 2002 (based on the
recommendations in the KB, that should be compatible to all older ver. of FP
extensions.

Is there an update to the Server Administratiion program, if so where to
download and install.

2nd problem:

If I access the IIS panel and select the Web Site option from the tree,
right click on the Default Web Site, select the "all tasks" option, then the
Check the Server Extension option, the same "administration too old" error
occurs.

If same selection as above is taken except chosing Check Server Extenstion
2002 option the following error occurs (although I am signed on with Admin
rights):
