Admin priviledges

I am trying to instal wireless LAN software and it wants
me to logon with Admin priviledges.

I have not set up an admin account on the machine. Is
there a default one that comes with Windows XP, and if
not, how do I set one up?

Hi

Yes, there is a default one, with the name "Administrator".

See the section "Method 2: Log On as an Administrator and Reset
the Password" here for information on how to be able to log on
with that user:
