Admin password

I forgot my administrator password. I have tried a
reinstallation. The process did not successfully complete.
The system said it had logged an error. Now if i try to do
the system reintsllation it ignores the instruction.
Meanwhile it treats me a user without administration
authority. What should I do? Please help.
