Hi,

I recently moved from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003 on W2K in order to
use the company Exchange server. However since the move I can no longer
right-click on a sender's e-mail address and save it to the local
address book, now does it display Properties on the right-click menu,
nor does it display the actual e-mail address (if the plaintext name is
present).

This default information-hiding "feature" is VERY annoying, especially
since a co-worker's computer (also Outlook 2003 on XP) doesn't do it.
Why such a mode even exists is beyond me.

I'm hoping there's a check-box somewhere to fix this brokenness... I
haven't found it yet in Options. Any hints?

Ken.

Update:

I rebooted, and suddenly my Outlook right-click menu on sender addresses
is fully populated with options, including add to Contacts.

I should have mentioned, I had just reinstalled Office 2003 Pro to get
rid of the infamous ska111.cab error, went right to office.microsoft.com
and added those updates, rebooting when asked, then used it. That's when
I noticed the anti-feature. Now it's gone (or back).

From where are you right-clicking the address? If you open the message and
right click the name or address in the From Field, what options do you see?
Do you get any kind of menu?
