I am having trouble when I compose new mail and I begin
to type name it comes up with correct name but old email
addresses that are out dated. I have deleted all entries
in my WAB (Windows address book) and made sure I have
correct information inside of contacts. I also have gone
into email accounts and told it to use only Outlook
Address Book. That did not resolve problem so I told it
not to use any address book. I still have the same
problem. It's almost like this information is in a cache
field or something. I have tried the detect and repair
option inside of Outlook and that does not fix my
problem. Any suggestions? Would uninstalling and
reinstalling fix problem? If it's not to much trouble
email me directly (e-mail address removed).

Thanks for any help.
Mike

Telling us your Outlook version would help a lot.
If it is one of the versions that supports autocompletion, then the names
are probably stored in your autocompletion cache.
Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:

I am using Office XP Profesional. I will look at the
website and see if I can esolve issue. If this works I
will post reply here. Thanks Mike

Russ,

This worked. Thank you so much. I know it doesn't seem
like a big deal but, it was very annoying. Merry
Christmas.
