Why does my address book not propigate?
If I select "TO" and then the address, then sometimes this same address will
propigate next time I send to the same address, but sometimes even that stops
propigating. None of the other addresses propigate. Is there a patch or fix
for this?

What do you mean by "propigate"?

If you mean the auto-complete..
The auto-complete in Windows Mail just doesn't work correctly.
It keeps a separate list of the last 29 addresses you've typed in, including
bad ones. This list is kept in the registry (in binary).
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Recently Used Addresses

This is one of the features that works properly in the newer Windows Live
Mail.

Yup that's what I meant by propigate. Thanks!
It'd be nice to have a fix if I'm going to be setting up more people with
Vista and Windows Mail.
I experimented with Windows Live Mail about 6-8 months ago and it was
terrible with IMAP.

If you'd rather have access to the full list instead of only the last 29
addresses you used, but still in Windows Mail, click on the To: in
the new message window before typing any part of the address.
When it shows the correct selection, click on it, then on which
header line you want to put it on (To:, Cc:, or Bcc:). This takes
a little longer, but does give you access to the addresses in your
address book (contacts list) which you haven't used recently.

A new version of Windows Live Mail has come out recently, but
I haven't tried it.

Any further updates to Windows Mail are very unlikely.

I knew about the "to" thing...mentioned in my original post.
Funny thing. I just tried installing WindowsLiveMail. It installed but the
program won't run. Even downloaded the Full install...no go.
Oh well, nice try thanks for the responses.
