Address Book

I am frequently finding a file on my desktop. It appears
for no apparent reason. It is called ~ and investigation
showed that it contains all the contacts listed in my
address book. Deleting the file causes no problems with
my computer but I would prefer it did not keep appearing.

Can anyone please help end this phenomenon?

It's a bug caused by one of those updates--MVP Kelly
reports that MS is working on a fix.
I've managed to
change mine so that they appear elsewhere instead of on the desktop. See
links below for more info.
