I jsut installed Windows XP - I had an address book in
Microsoft Works, and after reinstalling works, I cannot
access it - is there any way to get it back

Do you know the file extension? or did you reinstall MS Works when you installed Win XP?

I reinstalled Works as well, but do not know the file
