I find that my address book for OE6 in Windows XP Pro is:
address.exe and not address.wab. I always thought that
they were .wab. Any reason for it being an .exe type file?

Thanks. Norm.

See this page, Norm: http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/wab.htm

Wab.exe is the application. [name].wab is your Identity's Address Book.
[WAB = Windows Address Book]

In WinXP, OE user files, including *.wab and *.dbx files, are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable Show
Hidden Files and Folders under Start | Control Panel | Folder Options |
View. Take care of this and you'll find your WAB file(s) in Explorer.
