Hi, hope you all had a good Christmas, what is the best way to get all my
address book contacts from a PC with windows 98 to another with XP, and any
other files that would be needed. Also I have some music software (
Cakewalk ) that may not be compatable with XP, can I get an upgrade for such
programs or will I have to buy new software.? could I put the old drive
with 98 on as a slave on the new PC if that would help, thanks, have a
even better new year.

Which address book? If the Window address book (the .wab file used by
Outlook Express), just copy it to the new machine and import it with the
Windows Address Book. If you mean the Contacts folder from Outlook, just
copy your PST.

See http://www.insideoe.com/ for Outlook Express information and
http://http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm for Outlook
information.

Ask the vendor of the software.
