I'm using Windows XP; Outlook 2000 SP1 and Outlook Express 6.
My problem is that changing entries in the address book of either
E-mail program will make the same change in the other address book.
I don't want my wife's addresses in my Outlook, but if I delete them
from Outlook it also deletes them from OE.
Thanks for suggestions

Post your Outlook mail support mode (line 2 of Help | About).
If it says "Internet Mail Only," then disable sharing of the Outlook
Contacts Folder in OE > Address Book > Tools > Options so they can maintain
separate information stores.

Russ,
Great work. Thanks for your much needed help.
