Address bar "disappeared"

My address bar, the one where you type in a web address to go to, is now
minimized with the just the word "Address" showing on the right of the
Standard Buttons bar. If I remove the Standard Buttons view, it moves to
the Toolbar bar, but it's still a small box on the right with no text box to
type into. If I right click on it, there is no way to customize it. I
can't appear to resize it either. Been using this IE for 2 years now, never
seen this problem before. Any help appreciated.

Update: did a System Restore from a few days ago, that did the trick. Odd
problem though, and would like to know how to fix it without restoring!
