We ran FASTwiz on the old pc which was Windows 2000, we then ran it on the
new Windows XP pc to restore the settings and user folders. When the user
logged in, they created a new profile on the pc that was called
"username.ourdomain". The user had no access to their profile that was
brought over from the old pc with FASTWiz. All theier settings and folders
were unavailable to them. Any and all help is appreciated...thank you
Pam

I forgot to mention that we are in the process of changing to a new domain
that is set up with AD. The computer accounts are set up in the new AD
domain but the user accounts are still in the old NT domain. FAST did not
bring over the correct permissions for the user profile that it restored, but
the additional profile has the permissions listed correctly. All help is
appreciated

We figured this one out. It was Windows Firewall that was causing the issue.
It has to have an exception for Migwiz.exe in an enabled state to allow it
to work and not create the additional user profile at logon. Once we made an
exception on the server it went as planned

Try logging the user on first then running the fastwiz while in their new
profile account. Switching domains does not seem to work well especially
versions from one domain to another.

We tried that Wayne and it still created the additional account when FAST had
them log off and then log back in again. We also tried running FAST as Local
Admin, but had the same result. I am lost on this one, It must be the domain
issue.
