adding to collection file

I have made a second copy of the movie I am working on in
My Videos and renamed it just incase I mess up editing
the original one but it is not showing in my Collection
file in Movie maker,if I double click on the original
file or the copy they seem to be one in the same. How do
I make them two completely differant files so that I can
work on the separately.

Do you mean a backup copy of the project file? Project files don't show up
in the collections, just source files.

The Managing section of my site has some info about the various files used
in Movie Maker 2, with notes about organizing them and backing up.
